“Frederic Massara has been appointed as the club’s Chief Football Officer. In his new role, Frederic will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Giovanni Carnevali, with the aim of strengthening the organizational structure of men’s football,” Juventus said in a statement.

“Frederic will be responsible for overseeing the management and development of the men’s football department and supporting the definition and implementation of the club’s sporting strategy and projects, working closely with Juventus’ sporting director Marco Ottolini.

“Throughout his career, Frederic has established himself as one of the most highly regarded executives in football, making a significant contribution to the development of many prestigious clubs, including AC Milan and AS Roma.”

With Massara’s appointment, Juventus have confirmed that Chiellini will change his role within the club after serving as director of football strategy last year.

“Giorgio Chiellini will take up the entirely new role of Chief Club Affairs Officer, strengthening Juventus’ ability to engage, build relationships and represent the interests of key institutions, strategic stakeholders and sporting organizations in Italy and around the world,” Juventus said in a statement.

Juventus’ official statement was accompanied by comments from CEO and General Manager Giovanni Carnevalli: “We are confident that we are building a strong, capable and cohesive organization that can support our current and future ambitions. We are delighted to welcome Frederic to the great Bianconeri family. His expertise and deep knowledge of football represent an added value and perfectly complement the specialized skills already present within the club’s organizational structure.”

Juventus have already announced their first signing of the summer, signing Italian winger Jeff Ecator in a deal worth 18 million euros including add-ons.

Juventus will begin pre-season on July 13th under coach Luciano Spalletti. The first Serie A match of the 2026-27 season will be at home against Parma on August 29th.
