PSV Aindhoven winger Ivan Perisic loves his seven-year stint at Inter Milan.
In an extensive interview with Fcinternews, Perisic confirmed that he will be an interfan forever.
Ivan Perisic spent seven years at San Siro between 2015 and 2022.
However, he joined Bayern Munich on seasonal loan in 2019/20, two years before leaving the club forever.
Certainly, the 36-year-old left Serie A and signed Tottenham Hotspur, where he spent two years there.
During his seven years in Italy, Perisic collected 254 appearances for Nerazzurri, earning 55 goals and 50 assists.
Additionally, he won Scudetto in his penultimate season at San Siro under Antonio Conte.
Additionally, he was part of the team that won Supercoppa Italiana and Coppa Italia titles in 2021 and 2022.
After leaving Inter, he played for Tottenham and Hajiduk before moving to PSV in 2024.
Ivan Perizic reminisces fondly of the time of Milan
Asked if he was an Inter Milan fan, Perissic replied.
“And since I no longer play for Milan, it’s not the first time I’ve supported Nerazzuri in the stands.
“Normally, I don’t remain attached to one club for a long time, and in my career I have changed teams several times.
“But honestly, Intel and Intel fans are part of my heart.”
Plus, he still feels the love of his fans.
“Yes, I’ll go back and forth.”
Perisic also admitted that joining Inter in 2015 changed her life.
“Yes, when Inter signed me from Wolfsburg, there were a lot of strong individuals, but we weren’t a team.
“Then, thanks to the arrival of hard work, the Club, Marotta, Sparetti, Conte and Inzagi, Inter has become stronger and stronger.
“Today they are back in the right place for them.
“I felt good and gave it everything for the shirt, as usual.
“Like I said, we were a team. Everyone ran towards each other. It was ‘we’, not ‘me’. And the results of the field showed that.
Goal vs Juventus and AC Milan

“The truth is, when you face a particular team, you want to give them more than your best,” Perizic continued. “You feel something. You want to give yourself and your fans important joy.
“Also, when I joined Inter, Juventus was the strongest in Italy. When I left, we didn’t win at Scudetto, but we went back to competing for the main titles for Inter.
“The brace against Juventus in the National Cup final was incredible.
“But even in the final Champions League edition, I was also pleased to score against them at PSV, where I am now happy and doing very well.”
Furthermore, Perisic sees Inter as a “great team” and wants to face them in the Champions League this season.
“They are a great team and I hope they can win as many trophies as possible.
“Like I said, today I’m an interfan again.
“On the one hand, yes, that means you’ll qualify for at least 16 rounds, but on the other hand it’s going to be a very strict tie…
“Let’s say the ideal scenario is to meet as late as possible in the competition.”
Finally, he admitted that he would like to come back one day.
“Maybe one day, as a coach. Inter was an important part of my life. But today I want to win as much as possible with PSV.”
To conclude the interview, Perisic praised his fellow countryman Petar Sucic.
“A standout young man and a very strong player. Inter did well to sign him.
“He can play anywhere in the middle and defense, in my opinion.”
