Intercoach Christian Chib “supposes it’s more than a tactic, as Nerazzuri prepares for a massive Serie A game with Juventus.
Chivu previewed the upcoming inter-games with their arch rival Juventus at a press conference on Friday.
Nerazzurri collected one win and one loss in the opening two games of the season.
“The team is working well. I know that international breaks can give something special in terms of mentality. Today, the whole team is available and everyone is ready to play,” Chivu said via TMW.
“It’s the third round. We shouldn’t be too much of a burden on it. Everyone knows what the Derby Doialia represents. It takes the right energy to read the match.”
Chib already defeated Juventus coach Igor Tudor four months ago. However, at the time, the boss of Nerazzuri was in charge of Parma.
“These are different situations, so I won’t compare,” Chive said.
“Tudor did a great job with Juventus. They had an identity and had a good transfer window. They defended Bremer and recovered. He gives them a lot. We can’t compare that match for four months now. It’s a different team. Both Inter and Juventus are different.
Where should the inter improve?
“The team is certainly true. We need intelligence to understand what this team can do,” Chive said.
“I’m not here to turn everything upside down because it’s impossible. The team is at the pinnacle of Italian and European football. Plus, something needs to be added to restore more confidence, energy and motivation.”
Akanji is ready for his inter debut
Nerazzurri signed Manuel Akanzie from Manchester City at the deadline, and the Swiss defender could face Juventus tomorrow.
“Akanji is an important player with international values and height,” Chiv said.
“All players are essential to contribute to our pursuit of our goals. The players I have are the best and I am happy with them. Akanji is ready to play.
“We have an identity and we try to keep working. We need to understand and interpret the game. We have to accept that solutions have been found to withstand the impact of the match,” continued Coach Inter.
“We’re out there and playing games and looking for the best variables for the group, and we have to be dominant to try and cause trouble for our opponents.
“The seasons have ups and downs. Sometimes you need to wash your face and roll up your sleeves to work. You also need to learn from your mistakes and move forward with courage. That’s the only way you can grow.”
Chivu defends Bisseck and Calhanoglu
Hakan Calhanoglu and Yann Bisseck have recently been criticised by some Interfans, as well as the media, but Chivu is pleased with his contributions so far.
“I’ve seen Kalhanorg be very motivated. He’s been out for two and a half months,” Coach Inter said.
“He tried to play in the Club World Cup, but it wasn’t that summer, he is motivated and ready to help us.
“Bisek has been criticized and it’s easy to criticize him just because he couldn’t show consistency. If you throw a stone at him after the first mistake, you will never build his confidence. He is a young man and he makes a mistake again.
