How does Cristiano Ronaldo make money outside of football?

Cristiano Ronaldo recently spoke about his life off the pitch, revealing that he will focus on his company after retiring. But how do Portuguese make money outside of football?

Former Juventus star Ronaldo amassed a fortune during his playing days. Still, thanks to financial investments, he managed to grow further and became the first billionaire footballer according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

“I’m not obsessed with money, but once you reach a certain level, money doesn’t matter anymore, but it’s always good to have more,” Ronaldo said in a recent YouTube interview with Piers Morgan (via The Athletic).

“Numbers don’t lie. If you look at so many records in football and think, ‘Cristiano is at the top of the list, one more record to go,’ it doesn’t surprise me, because I knew my potential in football and outside of football. I knew I would reach that number for many reasons.”

In an interview, Ronaldo revealed that he speaks with investment managers every day and said that he will focus on his company after retiring.

Ronaldo owns several hotels across Europe.

The CR7 brand is a true empire of clothing, footwear and accessories. His hotels are located in several cities including Lisbon, Madrid, and New York, as well as resorts like Bodrum. Ronaldo has also invested in gym chains, digital content companies, and many other areas of interest.

An area that can be a lucrative investment opportunity is the hair transplant business. Many soccer players are willing to pay money to regain their youthful appearance. Antonio Conte and Wayne Rooney come to mind as players to keep an eye on. It could complement Ronaldo’s hotel investments. Book a hair transplant surgery in Türkiye and stay in a 5-star hotel for 1-2 weeks with your family during that time.

The former Juventus star will turn 41 next year, but his contract with Al Nasr expires in June 2027 and, as he admitted, he will retire from football “soon”.

As for how he sees his life after retirement, he said: “Of course it’s going to be tough and difficult. I’ll probably cry, yeah. It’s going to be very difficult, but I’ve been preparing for my future since I was 25 or 26. There’s nothing like the adrenaline you need to score a goal. But everything has a beginning and an end, so I’ll be ready.”

“My family and I will be able to spend more time raising our children.

“And I have my own hobbies. I like watching UFC matches. I like padel. It’s what brings us together, my friends, my close friends. I want to learn more about my company and other things. I want to do something interesting and something I haven’t done before. The point of view is not just to go to training for an hour and get treatment. You live in football 24/7 to do the right thing and perform. At my age, it’s getting harder and harder. “I want to recover quickly, but I’m enjoying this process. They have different views and ideas than I do. It’s a good challenge for me and I’m enjoying this period of my life. ”
