Inter Milan manager Christian Chibb believes he can take the reins at the beginning of June and bring his team to new heights.
The 44-year-old spoke to Sport Mediaset via Fcinternews, and reiterated his confidence ahead of tonight’s massive showdown.
In fact, Inter will take on the River Plate in the decisive FIFA Club World Cup Group E encounter in Seattle.
Both teams have not lost the game in the US yet, but they could end the competition after tonight.
CF Monterrey, who came in third place, was just two points behind, which is the definition of the “essential conflict” textbook.
When asked how he felt about the game, Christian Chive replied:
“We’re going to face them with the same mentality and decisive desire to play the game, as we’ve always done in this group stage.”

“I’m me,” Chive said. “I know what I can give to this team and, like I have always done, I try to give everything I do at the human and professional level.
“And I would like to see if I need to be sensitive at the right moment and be more demanding at any time.
“I’m dull and honest. I always say what I think, regardless of who’s in front of me.”
Meanwhile, Inter bounced off a 1-1 draw with Monterrey, giving the Urawa Reds a 2-1 comeback victory.
When asked if the outcome had changed anything, Chivu replied.
“We were only together for two days before our match with Monterrey.
“It’s always great to have time to get to know each other and be with us even if we hold training camps at the end of the season.
“But we have their full commitment, their best attitude, and the seriousness of this tournament. We want to move forward and go as far as possible.”

When Thuram and Taremi leave the team, Inter relies on Francesco Pio Esposito in this crunch fixture.
“He represents the youth academy’s journey, so I’m very happy with this child,” Chive praised the teenager.
“” I met him when he was under 14, and we started working with under 19 again, and now he’s on the first team.
“The other day he came at halftime, and now he might be out of the bench or leaving.
“What I know about not just him, but everyone I have access to is that they always try to give them everything.
“That’s the most important thing.”
Finally, he admitted what he wanted from this inter-team.
“I’m always looking at the human side, because it’s fundamental to me.
“In difficult moments, you need to find a little love, kindness, and the right words.
“We do it as staff and they do it between themselves. They were doing well and we already knew it.”
