Arrigo Sacchi argues that Simone Inzagi’s interjourney was not a success, as Italian tacticians “lack of a decisive step.”
Inzagi left Inter on Tuesday with mutual consent. The Italian tactician won six trophies in four years at Stadio Meassa, reaching the Champions League final twice.
Inzagi is set to sign an annual contract of 25 euros with Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal, and has won a signature bonus of at least 4 million euros.
Sackie told Inzagi: “It’s not always right.”

“It’s clear that money played a crucial role in this story. I don’t know if following the scent of money is always the right choice. I know if that’s the right move,” Thatch told Gazzetta.
“Nerazzurri gave him a lot and allowed him to play in two Champions League finals, which is not a small thing.
Inzagi won Inter’s 20th Serie A title in 2023-24, but failed to hold the title in 2024-25, and saw Napoli lift Scudetto for the second time in three years.
“Let’s look at the results. Despite featuring the strongest teams consistently featuring the strongest teams, there are only four seasons and one league title,” continued Sacchi.
Sacki: Inzagi’s Interspel “No Success”

“It was two Champions League finals, but both lost. The last one was in a traumatic way. I had to admit that Inzagi has grown as a coach since he arrived from Lazio.
Inter lost their first Champions League final under Inzagi against Manchester City in 2023, but the second one was only a few days ago, bringing the biggest defeat in Europe’s major final against PSG.
Sacchi has clear ideas about where Inzaghi should do more with Inter.

“It’s not in terms of outcomes, but in terms of style of play,” he concluded.
“In the end, it’s a style of play that leads to success. He stayed along the way and grew up about Italian traditions, defense and counterattack.
Nerazzurri has identified CESC Fabregas as the main target on the bench, but the Spaniard has signed with COMO, so Inter will have to negotiate with his club.
