Former Liverpool, Chelsea and Atalanta executive Lee Conderton is at the forefront of the vacant sports director role with Milan on Sunday morning, according to various Italian outlets.
Milan is about to appoint a new sports director for most of the 2025 calendar year.

Who is Lee Conmerton linked to Milan?
Comerton began his executive career at Welksam and served as youth team director before joining Liverpool’s coaching staff in 2002 under Gerald Holier. He also worked as a youth team coach under Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho before being appointed Chief Scout at Stamford Bridge.
The Welsman identified and signed Hakan Karhanoglu, the current Inter star, in 2011, following Chelsea sports director Frank Arnesen.
Conmerton also plays the same role for Leicester City as Sunderland’s sports director, Celtic’s chief scout, and between 2019 and 2022.
The 51-year-old also worked for Serie A for two years as Atalanta’s soccer director between 2022 and 2024.
More recently, Conmerton has worked for the professional league side of Saudi Arabia and the recent AFC Champions League winner Al-Ahli, where he is believed to have signed Galeno and Ivan Tony stars.
