Fabio Paratici has refused to rule out Moise Kean’s summer departure, but claims Fiorentina want Cher N’Dour to stay and are interested in Luka. Koreosho.

Coach Paratici held a press conference at Viola Park on Thursday to discuss the Tuscans’ plans for the summer transfer window.

“The ownership is very strong. We want to build a Fiorentina that is competitive and sustainable for many years to come. I would like to emphasize these two words: competitiveness and sustainability,” he said via LaViola.it.

“I would add that ownership takes time. Things don’t happen in two weeks. It takes time to build something that is permanent and competitive.”

Mr. Paratici met with Mr. Keene’s representatives on Wednesday.

Paratici said: “We are in a transfer window. Discussions are taking place with football players and their entourage. That is normal. To be honest, I am not here to tell you the whole truth of what was said to each other during this transfer window with the players and their entourage.”

“As for Kean, he is definitely a legacy of Italian football and Fiorentina. Everyone knows how much I like him. I have watched him grow from the age of nine to the Champions League.

“I have already sold him once under my management. I love him like every footballer I have ever developed. But we are in a market period. We want him to be our number nine and we hope so. But apart from the top five or six in the world, not every football club is the master of its destiny on the market.”

“We believe this is an honest and pragmatic response to our fans. Firstly, it’s about respect, but it’s also about helping people understand what’s going on in the market and in the world of football in general.”

Fiorentina parted ways with coach Paolo Vanoli a few weeks ago and brought in Fabio Grosso as manager.

“Grosso was the only candidate. We liked the profile and everything that followed,” Paratici said.

Fiorentina have not won a trophy in over 20 years.

“There should always be a minimum correlation between dreams and goals. They should be as closely related as possible,” Paratici said.

“Yesterday, my son, who plays soccer, told me that his dream is to play in the World Cup. I said that if his goal is to play in the World Cup, we risk disappointment. It’s best to set realistic goals and dreams that are close to it. That doesn’t mean you don’t want to win. But dreams will remain dreams and goals will become goals.”

Fiorentina failed to qualify for European competition in 2025/26, but is Paratici worried that the club is losing its appeal?

“No, Fiorentina hasn’t lost their charm. The clubs haven’t lost their charm either. Liverpool haven’t won for 20 years, but all the football players wanted to go there. Manchester United haven’t won for years, but ask any football player if they wouldn’t want to play for them.

“These clubs are historic and have their own historical associations, regardless of the sporting outcome. So obviously it becomes more attractive if they play in the Champions League.”

Italian Under-21 international N’Dour has been linked with a move to Juventus, but Paratici is not considering selling him, in contrast to Dodo.

“N’Dour is definitely at the heart of Fiorentina’s project,” said Paratici.

“He is just starting. He needs to check himself. This is another point I want to emphasize, not only for Fiorentina but for Italian football. We cannot praise players after 12 games. You can have a positive impression or a negative one. We don’t even need to crucify them. We don’t need to crucify them.”

“We need to find a balance. N’Dour was very good in the second half of the season. He is improving and we expect him to develop even more next season.”

“Dodo is 28 years old and has legitimate ambitions, as Fiorentina have. We’ll see what happens in the coming days and months.”

In an interview with Sky Sports Italia, Paratici also confirmed his interest in Burnley’s Coleosho. “Everyone likes good players and Coleosho is a good player, just like the rest of the U21 team,” Paratici concluded.

Paratici took over as Fiorentina manager in February 2026, making this his first transfer window in charge at the Stadio Franchi.
