President marotta warns about adamalookman's rumours

Inter Milan President Beppe Marotta has not poured fuel into the fire in the link with Atalanta Forward Ademora Lookman.

Nerazzurri’s president addressed the transfer rumors at Inter’s preseason press conference, as reported by FCInternews. He emphasized in the window that “a month remains.”

Inter Milan has given Atalanta’s Adamoral Lookman a priority target target.

Nerazzurri offered Nigerians 40 million euros earlier this month. However, Atalanta refused this first bid. This offers a counter offer of 50 million euros.

But that doesn’t deter Intel. Far from that – they aim to return soon with another offer.

Or at least that’s what the reports have suggested in recent weeks.

“There’s still a month left to go to the transfer window,” Inter Milan President Beppe Marotta said.

“I don’t keep a secret the fact that I think Lookman is a great player,” he hinted embarrassingly. “From both the recommendation of the scouting teacher and the coach.”

“He’s certainly not the player we’re discovering right now. I think he’s a radar player for all the big clubs in Europe, not just Italy.”

“But he’s still an Atalanta player,” Marotta revealed Lookman.

“We have the utmost respect for Atalanta, and if we interfere with them, we will repent.”

“We have a great relationship with the Percassi family and the new ownership,” President Intel revealed.

“I will not deny that I have exchanged some words with Lucca Percassi,” Marotta once again hinted at Lookman’s story.

“And I think that’s part of what happens. You’re always raising the bar.”

“You can’t be afraid to ask about good players,” he implied. “That’s what I can tell you.”

“But it’s too early to know what’s going to happen. But he’s one of the manager’s candidates, Asilio, Bassin, me, and ownership players. That’s true.”

This week, it could be “definitive” for Lookman – but Inter “sees other names.”

Asked this week if Inter’s Ademola Lookman’s pursuit was decisive, Marotta replied, “Yes, certainly.”

“The coach and I share a search for players with a certain amount of versatility, and because who can allow him to play with the new systems and formations.”

“Obviously he has a profile that fits the model. But he’s not the only one.”

Marotta said Inter “sees other names.”

“And we will not deny that within two or three days we will reach the conclusion of consultations between the Inter and Atalanta.”

“If the terms are correct and Atalanta is ready to sell him, we’ll obviously start a concrete negotiation and probably close the deal.”

“If not, it’s someone else,” Marotta said.

President Inter then spoke about the fact that Lookman, who turned 28 in the fall, is not the kind of young player the club is barely trying to sign.

“We all agree that in football, it’s rare for 11 talented players to win alone,” he said.

“Along with talent, you need experience, and you need very strong characters.”

Marotta admitted that “Lookman is not a player who can sell for profit.”

“But he can give us an edge in his quality. He’s not the player I just discovered, but a good player can help the younger players around him grow.”

“A mixture of young and experienced players adds value to your team,” declared Marotta.
