Hellas Verona has made Serie hopes more secure with this surprising victory.
Friulani was potentially pushing through European locations, standing with a spectacular run of four victories and two draws, including a deadlock between Naples and Lazio. However, Verona simply took the lead with a sensational free kick from Ondrej Duda, wrapping it over the wall with his right foot into a far corner.
Udinese tried to return to it, but Atta’s header was weak on the crucifix of the halt.
