Milan booked Sergio Consencao’s second final in four months, the Coppa Italia Final.
There were no Marcus Thurlam or Denzel Dumfries available to Simone Inzaghi for tonight’s match. Hakan Calhanoglu was also on the first break, replaced by Kristjan Asllani with the starting lineup. Milan chose Jovic along with Rafael Leo and Christian Purisick, continuing the 3-4-3 form despite Kyle Walker not continuing.
You can see how the action unfolded on the Italian football live blog.

The first opportunity of the game fell on Matteo Dalmian’s path, which had an acre of space, crashing into Inter’s right flank, running to the corner of the six-yard box before dragging a slightly wider shot of the far post.
Federico Dimarco attacked the crossbar after a quick free kick that was brilliantly acquired on a half-baked line midway through the first 45.
Ten minutes later, Lautaro Martinez was given almost the same opportunity to his goal in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinal against Bayern Munich, reviving knockdowns from his striker partner in the region, but this time there was no outside of the boot finish from Argentina. He fired well.
The first real opportunity of the game, Milan found a breakthrough after a great team move that ended with a ball on the foot of Alex Zimenez on his right flank. He played on the perfect cross for Jovic to slap the header in the center of the box into the house.
Jovic doubled Rossoneri for the second half five minutes. Theo Hernandez’s horns were not protected. It was confused in the middle, and the Serbs were on hand to rush into the house from five yards.

Rossonelli had the opportunity to put herself three ahead of the night. Alex Zimenez tried to tip Josep Martinez from the edge of the six-yard box, offside, but Leo tried to layoff one of his teammates at cutback from a similar position, but not in the middle to thrust through the house.
Rossonelli needed a major stop from Mike Maignan to protect the two-goal lead after Stephen de Vrizi’s goalbound header midway through the second term, following a corner of Kaljanoglu.
When Milan began to run the clock, they placed the game without question. Leao slid the ball in for the Reijnders outside, and Dutchman did not make a mistake with his first finish from the corner of the six-yard box.
Milan reached the second final four months after winning Supercoppa Italiana in January. They face either Empori or Bologna. Rossobre has a 3-0 advantage heading towards the second leg on Thursday night.
Inter 0-3 Milan
Jovic 36′, 49′, reijnders 85′.
