Igor Tudor feels that Juventus will need three reinforcements to become a reliable title contender next season, but a 5-2 loss to Manchester City proves that Bianconeri needs more new faces.
Juventus faced a brutal reality check on Thursday, causing Pep Guardiola’s 5-2 defeat to Manchester City. Bianconeri had already made appearances in the 16 rounds of the Club World Cup round after his victory over Al Ain and Wydad, but needed a draw to win Group G.
Even if Juventus defeated Manchester City in the Champions League under Tiago Motta in November, the Premier League Giants’ latest victory was not so surprising, except for the scale of their victory.

In the middle of the middle, Manuel Rocatelli and Kefren Tulam look like designated starters, but Juventus needs more quality to the core of the pitch, so consider upgrading the Rocatelli. Will Teun Koopmeiners be the guy who replaces Locatelli as a playmaker for the team? This is mainly because the Dutch played five of the six games under Tudor as offensive midfielders.
Kenan Ildis will be the one to watch in Turin next season. In the match against Manchester City, he set up Dusan Vlahovic twice, with the Serbs wasting their first chance and finding the net on their second attempt. But who could only partner Yildiz behind the striker? Again, Koopmeiners is an option, but he needs to desperately regain his confidence and be more effective in front of goals, but Conceiçao has shown good progress at the Club World Cup.
Koro Muani Key to Juventus Attack Strategy
Nevertheless, the Portuguese are loaned out in Juventus. Juventus must pay 30 million euros to make a permanent move from Porto. According to Gazzetta, Chico’s number one replacement is Manchester United’s exiled Jadon Sancho.
Finally, there is an attack. Again, Coro Muani is on loan from PSG until the end of the Club World Cup, and Juventus will have to negotiate a longer deal with the League One Giants. Meanwhile, Vlahovic has been tilted to leave as his contract expires in 2026, and he shows no desire to continue as the old lady.
This means that if Koro Muani stays, Juventus will need one new centre ahead. Otherwise, they are looking for two central strikers.
The main name linked to the recent move to Juventus is Jonathan David. Jonathan David has already reached an agreement with the Serie A Giants, but is waiting for the representative to finalise details regarding the agent fee.
With Bianconeri again playing in three tournaments next season, including the Champions League, we can predict that at least four or five new signatures will be required to be competitive again in 2025-26. The latest defeat against Manchester City clearly showed that many of the people who started the game cannot provide a guaranteed place with XI in Bianconeri next season.
