Stafano Beltrame, former teammate of Sam Beukema of Go Awny Eagles, is confident that the new Napoi signature will take another step forward at Stadio Maradona from 2025-26.

Bologna defender Beukema is set to join Napoli in a deal of over 30 million euros, making it his third summer signature for the defending Serie A champion.

The product of Juventus Academy Beltrame, now 32 years old, Biellese striker, spoke about the Dutch defender in an interview with Il Mattino.

“He’s a really nice guy, but when he’s on the pitch, he’s not equal in terms of competitiveness,” Bertram said through TMW.

“He was already a strong modern defender at the time. He’s good at the ball at his feet and is very smart.

“He has a personality and he doesn’t let anyone walk above him. In fact, when he needs to settle the law, he does. He became a regular starter in his second season and continued to get better.”

Napoli won their second Serie A title in three years last season. Most sports betting websites consider it to be their favorite to lift Scudetto again in 2025-26.

Despite reports that they may have returned to Juventus in May, Napoli holds Antonio Conte, but all direct rivals except the old lady have changed coaches.

“What’s confusing me is that a month before the end of the season there was a talk about me going to Juventus, suggesting I could leave Naples,” Conte said in June.

“I had no agreement with Juventus at all. I told anyone who tried to approach me, “I won’t tell anyone until I talk to President De Laurentiz.” ”

Inter went from Simone Inzagi to Christian Cibu, Milan replaced Sergio Cosiasao with Masimiliano Alegri, and Rome hired Jean Piero Gasperini.

Beukema will be Naples’ third summer signature after Luca Marianucci and Kevin de Bruyne. Beukema will undergo a medical test at Partenopei this week.

“Naples is the right environment for him, because it helps him take another step compared to Bologna,” concluded Bertram.

“Rossobble fans don’t have any offenses. He gets along well with Conte and has immediate chemistry with Leonardo Spinazzola.”

Napoli is still looking for two offensive wingers and center forwards to complete the team for the 2025-26 campaign.

Beukema, 26, made history in Bologna by acquiring the 2024-25 Coppa Italia. He also appeared in Rossobre in the 65 Serie, scoring one goal and providing two assists.

Napoli will launch its 2025-26 Serie A campaign at Sassolo on August 23rd.
