Milan manager Masimiliano Alegri is pleased with Rossoneri’s first training ahead of his “difficult” friendship with Arsenal. “We want to work well and improve our health.”

Milan arrives in Singapore for an Asia-Pacific tour, where he meets the glories of Arsenal, Liverpool and Perth.

The opening game will face Gunners on July 23rd.

“We’ve been working for 20 days now and our team is on track,” Allegri said at a press conference via Gazzetta.

“The goal is to go back to the Champions League as we have strong, competitive opponents.”

Luka Modric is not part of the Milan team, who just joined the team after the Club World Cup.

“Modric is important to us, he is the champion and he will raise our skill level,” Alegri said.

Rossonelli will not be participating in the European competition next season. Allegri repeatedly stated that their main goal is to finish in the top four for the 2025-26 season.

“The positive side is playing once a week means you can spend more time working, absorbing concepts and becoming more teams,” he said.

“On the other hand, if there’s no Champions League, everyone misses the big games they want to play.

“I have to work well to see Milan return to the Champions League after seeing the glass half full. I’ve returned with enthusiasm and desire. I’m focusing on the ultimate target: qualifying for the Champions League for the 2026-27 season, which is important for the brand and finances.”

Milan already welcomes Modric and Samuere Rich, but Allegri is waiting for more reinforcements to complete the team.

“There’s a complete synergy with the club. The club is working to ensure that the team is fully in order to be more competitive by August 31st,” the Italian tactician said.

“We shouldn’t look back on last season, but look forward to it for good and evil. Even when you win, you can’t stick to the title you won. It won’t help in the future. What happened in the previous campaign won’t count anymore.

“We’ve started a new season, but I’m confident because there are groups with strong technical and moral values. We’re ready to play our first official match on August 17th. It’s important to get the job done on the pitch. There are groups that need to be a cohesive team right away.”

Speaking about Milan’s next opponent, Arsenal, Alegri said, “I’ve already been to Singapore. There are so many fans here in Milan and we’re happy. We have a tough match against Arsenal. We need to continue working to improve our physical condition.
