Jean Piero Gaspelini was pleased with Evan Ferguson’s performance in a 1-0 victory over Kaiser-Thrutan, but demanded a new signature, “It’s just a reality and you can’t be a hypocrite.”
Gasperini’s Rome won a 1-0 victory over summer-friendly German side Kaiserslautern on Saturday.
“It was a prep game, but we held the field well,” Gazp told reporters after the game via Gazzetta.
“The team already has an identity, but we can improve everything, including fitness. We certainly did some good things. We introduced the younger players towards the end and became another game in the second half with a whole new team.
“We weren’t going to push their goalkeeper. They did a lot through him, but we only pushed it occasionally because it was demanding,” continued the new Giallorossi coach.
Gasperini’s Verdict on Ferguson in Brighton Lawn

“Ferguson is a player who can push these opportunities and create them. If you get the ball on the pitch, you have a chance to score. You need to know Evan and exploit his depth.
Gasperini urged the club last week to complete more new signatures, sending a similar message this time.

Gasperini wants a new signature in Rome

“It tells you this, I’ve been counting since the end of the season and May.
“This is no excuse. It’s just a reality, you can’t be a hypocrite. Look who’s gone and who’s gone. Arithmetic is not an opinion.
Besides Ferguson, who moved to Studio Olimpico on a loan agreement with the option to buy from Brighton, Roma has signed the Neil El Einawi of Lens and will soon welcome Wesley of Flamengo.
The Brazilians landed in the capital early on Sunday morning, but will return to Brazil after medical examinations and contract signing, after signing to complete the bureaucratic documents needed to complete their travel to Rome.
“Coach always wants to keep things quick. If otherwise, what’s the preseason point if half of the squad leaves? This applies to everyone, but that’s exactly what it is,” Gasp concluded.
“I hope that what we have in mind can be realized. I know it will take more than a month, but how long does it take as the transfer window and the coach will not move at the same pace.
