Christopher Nukank at a press conference (acmilan.com)
Christopher Nukank explains why he hadn’t worked for him at Chelsea, why he “didn’t think about it for a moment” before joining Milan, and hopes to combine power with Rafael Leo.
The versatile forward has brought the seller’s commission percentage to an additional 5 million euros when it is difficult to achieve the bonus, along with 37 million euros from Chelsea.
It was an incredibly quick process as he wasn’t one of their main transfer targets.
nkunku jumped at the chance to join Milan

“The first time I heard about Milan’s interests was when I spoke to the sports director. I didn’t think much about it and everything coming here was perfect,” Nkunku was convinced at his press conference.
There were rumours that it would link him to potentially move him to rival Inter, but he shrugged those reports.
“I read it, but I didn’t talk to anyone at Intel. When my agent told me about Milan’s interests, I didn’t have to think for a moment.”
Milan explained that they brought him in as the lack of pace of the attack became apparent during Rafael Leo’s injury, so does that mean they can play together?
“I have similar traits to Rafa. He’s a great player, but I think we can do well. We all have to put qualities at the freedom of our team. I can adapt to the coach and do what he asks.
“I like playing as Trequartista. And it depends on the system and how it is interpreted. Coaches can’t wait to start playing.

The 27-year-old had an investment of 60 million euros from RB Leipzig from Chelsea in the summer of 2023, but he never made it work at Stamford Bridge.
In two years, he made 62 competitive appearances, contributing to 18 goals and five assists.
“When I arrived, I think it was all perfect, but then I got hurt and I was out for quite some months. I came back and was very enthusiastic. And when I did, I had a new muscle problem. I felt better in the second season, but the coach made other decisions,” explained Nkunku.
“I learned a lot at Chelsea. I’m competitive and I want to win the trophy. I played against Italy for France in San Siro. It had an amazing atmosphere so I can’t wait to experience it from the other side.
“It’s good to have four new teammates I already know. They can help me on and off the field, so I spoke to Thiago Silva. He said Milan is the best club in Italy.”
