Canadian head coach Jesse Marsh described new Juventus star Jonathan David as a “exceptional player.”
Marche’s Canada has just completed a mini-tour in Europe that won a friendly match between Romania and Wales. David scored in a match against Romania and tallied as the country’s top scorer, bringing 37 goals in 69 games.
David returns to Turin and prepares with his Juventus teammates for the Derby doItalia crash on Saturday night.

“Juventus was a huge win for David” – Marsch
In a quote from Tuttosport regarding Bianconori’s summer signature, Marsch said, “I think by signing him I’ve secured an exceptional player.” He described the forward as “very intelligent, able to play in different positions on the offensive, either alone or in pairs with another striker.”
His admiration describes the former reel man as “a truly a great player and a top scorer,” and says that “I think Juventus has gotten a lot for him.”
Marche was asked if the 25-year-old had what he needed to become a top scorer in Serie A. “He certainly can score a lot of goals, but I add that he is working hard for the team.
The former Leeds United head coach said, “I know Juventus wants to return to the top of Serie A. Having secured Jonathan David means they have the important assets they can rely on.”

Canadian boss Marsch praises Juventus’s Vlahovic
I saved a second to comment on Dusan Vlahovic, not the only Juventus player who had kind words.
“I really love Vlahovich too,” Marsh said. “He’s a strong striker. We wanted him from Leipzig, but Fiorentina was able to steal him from us.
The interviewer also asked the coach what he thought of the Derby doItalia clash between Juventus and Inter on Saturday. He said, “It’s definitely going to be an interesting match. I’m still a Juventus fan. After Bianconeri buys David and Inter sells Tajon Buchanan, I’ll cheer on the players.”
