More shocking details emerge in the brawl that was kicked out of Olympic Marseille, as Jonathan Lowe was reportedly close to Bologna and Adrian Rabiott.
The two players were caught up in a dressing room arguing shortly after the season’s surprising opening defeat of League One.
A few days later, an official statement confirmed that both pairs were placed in the transfer market with immediate effect.
Lowe and Rabiot may be heading for Serie

Lowe is reportedly on the verge of his move to Serie A in Bologna, but former Juventus midfielder Rabiot has been linked to a potential return to Inter, Milan, Rome and even Juve.
However, Marseille director and former Udinese, Rome and Juventus defender Mede Benatia revealed the scope of the incident.
“We wanted to give players 48 hours of rest so they could give them time to reflect and rethink, but instead there was no apology,” Benatia told RMC Sports.
“It was a locker room discussion. I know these defeats can cause frustration. But there was a physical attack. It was a fight, honestly, that’s the reality.
“Usually, when the words are spoken, the coach comes and speaks, it all calms down. Not here, it becomes a physical conflict, a punch is thrown, Bakola feels bad and fell to the ground, but they still continued.
“It was a total mess scene. I was in football in 17-18, I was the captain and sometimes you intensified the exchange, but you can’t punch each other with the face and security that separates you. Where are we? We’re here.
“I’ve seen it all, but there’s just someone coming in and punching my face. I’ve never seen it. This isn’t normal.”

Benatia also confirmed that Lowe was likely to leave anyway following his investment in Igor Pyxao, but this situation confirmed that Marseille could rush through it and give Bologna a bargain.
“I can say my phone hasn’t been ringing since this happened. I’m sure the same applies to players, so I have no problem finding a new club. It’s a problem for Olympic Marseille.
