Arrigo Sacchi feels Como poses a problem for Napoli today, just as Cesc Fabregas studied at “Europe’s best football universities” Barcelona and Arsenal.
Sacchi previewed today’s Serie A match between Como and Napoli in a new interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.
The former Italy national team manager is particularly excited about Como’s style of play and is looking forward to watching the exhibition match at the Stadio Maradona today.
Sacchi: Fabregas ‘absorbed the real flavor of the game’ at Arsenal and Barcelona

“I don’t know Fabregas personally, but I watch Como play,” he said.
“He comes from two important schools and studied at the best football universities in Europe, Arsenal and Barcelona. He has absorbed the real taste of football. It’s hard to go wrong when your teachers are Arsene Wenger and Josep Guardiola. Como Look at how the players move on the pitch. They always know what to do, which spaces to occupy and how to get out of difficult situations. Do you look at Como’s play and think it’s a small regional team? So it’s not the coach’s credit, but whose credit is it? ”
Sacchi will be hoping for an aggressive Como against Napoli, but the defending Serie A champions will see Scott McTominay and Rasmus Hjølund return to the starting XI.
“Fàbregas will dictate a very aggressive pressing, trying not to let the opponent build up,” Sacchi said.
“Como play with a high defensive line, but Napoli have players who are good at attacking spaces so we have to be careful. I think of McTominay, a midfielder with rare effectiveness, and Hojland’s speed. I expect it to be an open game.”
Sacchi: “Como won’t stop the bus” against Napoli

“If you think Como will go there to park their buses, as many teams in our league do, you are mistaken,” Sacchi concluded.
“We have a quality midfielder in Fabregas. He has a pure talent like Nico Paz. He loves exchanging quick passes, interweaving play and going for through balls. Napoli have to be careful not to expose themselves.”
Como have 16 points from the opening nine games of the season and are just two points clear of Champions League qualification.
Meanwhile, Napoli are tied with Roma at the top of the joint standings.
Partenopei have 21 points from nine games, five more than Como, but have lost two of their last five league games, while Como remain unbeaten with three draws and two wins over the same period.
