Former Napoli, Udinese and Atalanta director Piero Paolo Marino feels that Ademora Lookman is losing his battle with Atalanta, but despite his excellent performance with Juventus, Dusan Vlahovich was “masochistic”.
Former Serie A manager Marino shared his views on two of the most discussed Serie A strikers in recent weeks: Lookman of Atalanta and Vlahovic of Juventus.
Lookman tried to force a move to Inter during the summer transfer period, but Radea rejected an offer of less than 50 million euros and pushed the Nigerian star to stay in Bergamo until at least January.
Meanwhile, Vlahovic did not push for leaving Juventus, but also refused to extend his expired contract in Turin.
Lookman has yet to make his first competitive appearance for Atalanta this season, but Vlajovic has scored four goals in four appearances against Juventus, and is now the best goals scorer in Turin.
Marino: Lookman loses his battle with Atalanta

“Perkassi’s management in Atalanta was exemplary. No one would want to have such a complicated case. Lookman shows he’s in a group of “stubborn” players who think more about wallets and sarcasm than their heads,” Marino told TMW.
“For me, this issue ends with Lookman’s defeat. Honestly, I don’t know if he will become a recoverable player, but certainly not for Atalanta. He was already giving signs of how to interpret professionalism in his relationship with Gasperini.”
Marino still hopes Lookman will leave in the winter transfer window.
“The problem comes again in January because all the big clubs are chasing the strikers, so the market rarely leaves him in Bergamo,” he said.
I want to see Vlahovic’s attitude in February.” Marino

“Vlahovic is the player who hits me,” Marino added.
“He looks a bit of a discord. First, he sets himself up against the club, the fans and the media. He doesn’t want to renew, but for me, it’s why the previous management team has made him execute his contract.
“It’s difficult to judge his future. If he can sign another club from February and at that point he knows he has other future interests, what will Vlahovic perform?
