One goal in 688 minutes – Joa Felix’s record in Milan barely justified Sergio Concision’s lasting decision to give him time despite his steady decline.
On the contrary, the coaches are insisting on launching Chelsea lenders, or often keeping him on the pitch at the expense of Rossoneri stars Rafael Leo and Christian Purisic.
Kyle Walker’s recent denunciation of Portugal International was the latest episode added to Milan’s frustration during the two months of stint when the forwards failed to meet expectations.

From the brilliance of debut to frustration: Joan Felix’s disappointing journey in Milan
Joao Felix joined Milan on the deadline with a six-month loan from Chelsea in January last year, but no purchase options were included. Initially, Rossonelli was reportedly open to exploring ways to keep him beyond the summer after his ski debut, and he was immediately influenced by scoring with Rome in Coppa Italy.
But what follows suggests there is a reason why clubs like Atletico Madrid, Chelsea and Barcelona chose not to retain the players who once were one of European football’s most exciting prospects.
Sergio Conceiçao’s side provided little favorable environment for players to thrive, but Joao Felix’s contribution in a short time at San Siro is equally overwhelming.
The 25-year-old has been featured in all Rossoneri matches in three different competitions, but has not been able to make any meaningful impact since scoring in his debut. Felix struggled to provide the team with real offensive sparks, which led his coaches to often regret those decisions.

His only other target contribution in 10 appearances after his debut was against Rex, who was threatened by relegation when he forced Antonino Gallo to his own goal to cause his team’s comeback.
Two of his most disappointing performances were against Feynauld in the Knockout Phase playoffs of the Champions League. He played 90 minutes on both feet without getting close to the troubles of the highly depleted Dutch side.
With Milan almost missing out on qualifying for the Champions League next season, the Joa Offelix have a last chance to leave a mark in the two-legged Coppa Italia semi-finals with Inter, but regardless of his form in the final two months of the season, the forward will almost certainly return to the Premier League next summer.
