Italian journalist Riccardo Trevisani praised Inter Milan for improving his team after a broken heart last season.
In the podcast “Fontana di Trevi,” via FCInter1908, Trevisani spoke lyrically about Inter’s summer business.
Inter Milan broke with manager Simone Inzaghi at the end of last season.
Despite aiming to win a triple crown in mid-April, Nerazzurri finished the 2024/25 season with karate.
So the club turned to Christian Kivu in June to fill that vacant seat.
Inter also cut ties with several poorly-performing stars, including Marco Arnautovic, Mehdi Taremi and Joaquin Correa.
Meanwhile, Francesco Pio Esposito and Ange-Joan Bonnie have arrived to enhance Kivu’s attack options.
It’s still too early to reach a conclusion, but new entrants are already outpacing their predecessors.
Meanwhile, Chive did an amazing job of mentally recovering from last year’s upset.
Despite a sluggish start, Nerazzurri has regained his form with five consecutive wins in official matches.
Riccardo Trevisani praises Inter Milan’s decision
“I’ve said many times Inter is a team that plays well,” coach Trevisani said. “But it’s also a very strong team.
“This year they’re even stronger than last season, because their forwards are giving them something to praise and bounty.
“Bonnie scores one goal and three assists, and Pio plays to score. Previously, Taremi didn’t perform well, but Correa scored one goal a year, and Arnautovic was always injured.
“Lautaro and Turum ended the season with no breaks and exhausted 70 games. This is a very different story here.
“What if Lautaro is injured? He misses two games and is off. If Turum gets injured, that’s a problem for Inter.”
“But Bonnie is performing like the other day, so the problem isn’t that big.
“Intel took into account the issues last season and improved the alternative and did very well.
“We remember Arnautovic’s goal against Atletico, which was a moment of brilliance for him at Inter.
“However, he missed some chances in that game and Inter left because he missed those goals.
“Bonnie and Pio have helped Inter have a huge boost in their offensive position. Even if they’re young, no one cares – they’re strong.”
“And I’d like to say this too, Kivu says he doesn’t want to change Inter or erase anything that’s been around.
“I will add that everyone knows that this team has played the best football in the last four years, but they do that in these first six games.
“He wants to eliminate any flaws and things that are not going well. I continue to like this management team, both in terms of words and actions.
“We are confident that this strengthening our offense and using Sticci in place of Aslani has helped our team to improve.
“Kivu manages very well.”
