Jan Somer says Inter Milan will “do everything” to regain the Serie A title from Napoli over the upcoming seasons.
The 36-year-old spoke to the official Serie A YouTube channel via Fcinternews. He also proved coach of Nerazuri’s Christian Chib by bringing “new ideas.”
Inter Milan is just weeks away from the start of the Serie A season.
Nerazzurri will launch a campaign against Turin on Monday. They will host Granata at Sansilo in the first match of the season.
This will be the first Serie A match to take on Inter for new coach Christian Chib.
Meanwhile, new faces who arrived during the summer transfer period will also have the opportunity to make their debut.
Inter struggled to win the Serie A title last season. However, they lost to Naples on the last day of the campaign with just one point.
Therefore, Chib will be at the helm of the club where he spent six years as a player, trying to get the inter back to the top of Italian football in his first season.
Yann Sommer: “Intel will do everything to get back the Serie A title.”
Interkeeper Yann Sommer said, “I want to beat Scudetto and Coppa Italia.”
“And obviously, we’re also hoping to go all the way in the Champions League,” he added.
Sommer called the 2023-24 Serie A title “great memories,” but said, “You can’t live in memories.”
Meanwhile, “Last season was an incredible journey.”
“It was very tired for us to fight everything right up until the end,” admitted Somer. “But we want to do it again and compete for all our goals.”
“Now it’s our turn to chase, and we’ll do everything to get the title back.”
Summer praises Chib for “new ideas”

WenWhille, Sommer thought about coaching changes at Inter this summer.
“We had a great time under Inzagi,” he said. “I played under him for two years and it was great.”
“Obviously last season we missed two targets out of reach. But it was another happy time.”
“We have Chives now,” Summer said. “A new coach that brings you completely new ideas and a way to talk differently with us.”
“We’re very happy,” Summer said. “He’s a coach who passes a lot of energy on the pitch.”
“He’s not afraid to speak up, but he’s also very calm and approachable. It’s easy to tell him about things from the pitch.”
“In recent months, I’ve noticed that he’s a coach with very high expectations – he’s demanding maximum professionalism.”
“He asks us to be ready at all times. To succeed, we also have to work on the smallest details.”
“He’s not asking me to do anything different to what I’m already doing,” Summer said. “He wants a goalkeeper who is good at build-up plays.”
“If we do that well, we’ll help our team defensively, and that’s what he asks me as a goalkeeper.”
