Inter milan rich, resilient, ready for the fight?

Inter Milan has posted one of the best financial seasons in recent history. Paradoxically, it’s one of the most emotionally frustrating things for fans.

The club left with over 500 million euros in total revenue for the 2024-25 season, making it the Champions League final (the second time in three years) and winning a bounty from the FIFA Club World Cup.

At the beginning of the 2024 season, Inter was valued at around US$1.2 billion and is now the second most valuable Serie A team.

The estimated corporate value is 1.7 billion euros, an increase of 20% compared to last year.

After a brutal 5-0 defeat to PSG in the Champions League final, still painful humiliation in the hearts of fans and a one-point mistake in the Scudetto race to Napoli, Inter fans were wondering.

Now, with new coaches and new ownership, the only problem is when Inter can not only perform performances, but also transform into a winning machine.

Simone Inzaghi, bringing focus and tactical stability during turbulence since Covid, has left Inter. That’s after winning a total of six trophies.

He has a highly paid job in Saudi Arabia and joined Al-Hilal for two years on a contract worth $50 million. The second-highest paid coach in the world.

Instead, the club’s legendary and youth team coach Christian Chib is loved but not tested at this level.

It is a bold and emotionally intelligent option that shows Inter’s appetite for moving forward with new risks and new paths.

Chivu knows the club, knows the pressure and understands what it means to wear a Nerazzurri jersey. But the emotions are not sufficient.

Luckily, Inter is not walking into the new season empty-handed.

Luckily, Inter is not walking into the new season empty-handed. According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Inter is willing to spend around 100 million euros on new signatures this summer.

A dramatic departure from the club’s recent conservative relocation policy.

For many fans skeptical of the arrival of Oaktree Capital, this is the first concrete evidence that the new owners aren’t just here to win here.

And they’re already spending. Inter is investing nearly 70 million euros in four new players. These include Ange-Yoan Bonny, Luis Henrique, Petar Sucic and Nicola Zalewski.

These are not the names of superstars at least yet, but they are hungry, athletic and purposeful choices. This isn’t just a facelift, it’s a team refreshment.

Inter Milan will do an ongoing rebuild of Oaktree

Importantly, the club currently has firepower to continue to spend. Despite an early exit from the FIFA Club World Cup, Inter won a prize of around 31.5 million euros per FCINTERNEWS.

On top of that, it’s close to 100 million euros brought in from their Champions League runs and begins to see a new financial engine that Oaktree helped build.

Inter’s total revenue for 2024-25 exceeded 500 million euros. Not long ago, the incredible figure for the club was in deep financial disruption.

But this is a paradox. Inter Milan is healthier than ever before, but given the high expectations it has been produced, he still needs to prove himself.

Fans want more than revenue reports and balance sheets. They want a trophy. They want pride.

And after getting very painfully close on multiple fronts last season, the club has a quiet pressure building.

Ademorale lookman along the way?

The next step will largely depend on how quickly new team members can gel. Whether Chib can step out of youth football to the main stage.

What’s more, if your core team can mentally bounce back from a nearly year mistake.

And it survives several big names, such as the Atalanta Super Star Ademola Lookman, which you can earn in time for Scudetto’s kickoff.

This is not a transition season, it is a season of verification. Chivu brings identity. Oaktree brings discipline and financial firepower. The money is there and there are expectations.

Now Intel needs to prove that being rich and resilient is not enough.

It’s time to get ruthless and invest with your fans!
