Jan Somer says he “want to go forever” ahead of Inter Milan’s Champions League showdown with Bayern Munich tomorrow.
The former Bayern 36-year-old spoke at a press conference before the first leg of the quarterfinals, as reported by FCINTERNEWS.
Inter Milan will face Bayern Munich in the Champions League tomorrow.
And we know that both teams are committed to being a vital game for their respective seasons.
For Nerazzurri, it is not the only match they have in their minds.
Inter is still fighting for the Serie A table. They are currently at the top of the league table, but Napoli could cut the lead to the points tonight if they beat Bologna.
Meanwhile, Inter has the second leg of Coppa Italia’s semi-finals, facing city rival AC Milan later this month.
Yann Sommer: “I want to play Game vs Bayern Munich”
Intermilan Keeper Jan Somer gave him his thoughts ahead of tomorrow’s match. “Tomorrow is very important to us,” he said.
“They push aggressively high.”
The Swiss called Bayern a “strong team.”
“And for us, it’s important to play the game. It’s important to have the courage to play the ball with the goal of winning, as we always do.”
Meanwhile, Somer spent half a season as a Bayern player. He then admitted, “It’s good to be here and come back.”
“I’m happy to be able to play against Bayern,” he said. “And I’m happy to be with Intel today.”
Summer then responded with Parma to Saturday’s Serie a Draw. “We’re not happy with that,” he said.
“Tomorrow will be a tough match again, and there have been moments when it’s too easy for the opposition to create opportunities, even against Udinese.”
“We’re a very strong team defensively when we have energy,” Somer revealed. “We hold our own position.”
“And that’s what we have to show on the pitch.”
Yann Sommer: “I want to go to Inter Milan at all competitions all the time.”
Regarding the inconsistency between Inter’s Serie A and Champions League defensive records, Somer admitted that it was “always difficult to explain.”
“Our goal is to make it difficult for the opposition to score,” he added.
“We usually managed to do that. It’s got a bit better this season in the Champions League.”
“But there are a lot of games we have to play,” Switzerland noted. “Every three days.”
“It’s normal that we don’t always get the best.”
“But we are inter,” the keeper said. “We have to get through this.”
“We’ve always wanted to win every competition and go all the way,” Somer revealed.
He added, “We have to play a great game.”
“We have to play with courage and be with us.”
Yann Sommer emphasized that Intel “emphasizes the need to maintain distance between lines and then see what kind of match is there.”
And Switzerland commented that he was having a “fun time” for Bayern.
“We won the Bundesliga. It was a great time, a fierce time, and we were successful.”
He added, “I can’t wait to see my old teammate again.”
