Simone Inzagi confirmed that Benjamin Pavad suffered from an ankle sprain prior to the collision between Barcelona and Inter Milan.
Nerazzurri’s coach spoke to Italian broadcaster Dazn via Fcinternews following his match against Roma today. He at least excluded the Frenchman from the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals.
Losing a third match in a row in every competition without scoring was bad enough for Inter Milan.
But on top of that, Nerazzuri was also hit by a major injury in his defeat against Serie a Roma today.
Benjamin Pavad was in the starting eleven in Nerazruli.
However, the French had to get off the pitch early in the first half.
This followed a challenge with Roman defender Zeki Celik, and Pavad seemed to twist his ankle awkwardly.
There have been some short attempts by Pavad to play after the injury.
However, it was soon clear that the injury was not something the former Bayern Munich defender could simply escape.
Inzagi checks Pavad’s ankle sprain ahead of the Barcelona vs Inter Milan clash
Pavard’s injury is a particularly worrying person considering Inter’s next game.
On Wednesday, the first round of the Champions League semi-finals at Interface Barcelona.
Benjamin Pavabad has been one of Inter’s outstanding performers so far this season in the Champions League. He also scored his first goal to face Bayern, his old club.
But now it is clear that Pavad will at least miss the first foot of the very important semi-finals.
Inter Milan coach Simone Inzagi confirmed that “Pabad had a sprain on his left ankle.”
“We’ll see how that will turn out over the next few days,” continued the Nerazzuri coach.
“He twisted and was on the treatment table.”
“He didn’t want to,” Inzagi pointed out. “Because he’s an important player to us.”
“But it forced us to make a difference.”
Meanwhile, Inzagi also said, “We’ll see” if Marcus Tharham will be available to Barcelona.
Inzagi admits to the first half vs. Roma that “we had to do better”

Meanwhile, Simone Inzagi also gave thoughts about the poor first half of the Inter and saw them fall to a loss in a straight for the third time.
“We had to do better as a team,” admitted the Nerazuri coach.
“We put too much pressure on them individually, but we never pushed them as a team and Rome caused problems for us.”
“We conceded the goal from an unfortunate rebound,” Inzagi added.
“The Saul worked. Roma had a great match.”
Coach Inter then said, “In the second half, we tried it.”
“We deserve better results, but it’s football.”
“We didn’t take advantage of the possibilities we have because we lacked mental clarity,” Inzagi argued.
“We have to find it again,” he added. “Because there are still important leagues and Champions League matches.”
“We have to respond to a lot of games this week to some period,” Inzagi said. He added, “Positive outcomes can give you a turning point.”
“But we have to find it in ourselves.”
“Today. Fans knew what the guys were doing this season.”
And what I feel is important now is to “recharge your physical and mental energy.”
“And we’ll analyze what we can do better than today, because we can always improve.”
“But we gave a lot in the second half.”
And Inzagi probably hinted at a controversial decision not to award a penalty for keeping within the area in his final comment.
“It’s too easy for me to talk about another issue, like a coach,” he said.
