Beppe Marotta says Simone Inzaghi has decided to make the “next day” of the Champions League final against PSG “next day.”
The president of Nerazzurri spoke at the festival Della Serie A through Fcinternews. He also said Christian Chive had the “right profile” to take over coaching Nerazuri.
Simone Inzagi has decided to leave Inter Milan this week.
The 49-year-old left Nerazzuri after four years of helm. Instead of staying in San Siro, he decided to join Al Hilal.
Inzagi’s exit came days after the Champions League final. In that match, Inter suffered a historic 5-0 loss at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain.
Marotta: “Inzagi decided to leave for PSG the day after his 5-0 defeat.”
The president of Beppe Marotta commented, “You’re good if you win in soccer.”
“And if you lose, that much less.”
“A bitter taste was in everyone’s mouths seven days ago,” admitted Marotta. “But that’s part of football.”
“To come second is not a failure, it’s a source of pride,” President Inter said. “The biggest club competition is extraordinary as we reach the Champions League final.”
“And doing it twice in three years is even more extraordinary. We have to see it too.”
“There’s fire, bitterness and deep disappointment,” Marotta said.
“But our season says our season is not over yet. We represent Italy, as we are a source of pride.”
“Soccer is a world where everything burns out very quickly,” Marotta pointed out.
“But on Tuesday, Inzagi told us: “My intercycle is over, I like to have a new experience.”
“A lot of people will say they could see this coming,” Marotta said. “But it’s not.”
“Because of my approach to the final, I didn’t touch on that topic the previous week.”
“And I’ll say this equally and frankly,” continued President Inter. “Inzagi only made the decision on Monday after losing to PSG.”
“When you read the newspaper, there are stories of skepticism and confusion, but we simply made a decision.
Marotta calls Chivu the “correct profile” for Inter Milan

As far as inter’s search for new coaches is concerned, Marotta said, “The newspapers have proposed many different names.”
“But everything has a completely different profile,” he pointed out.
“The first thing you need to identify when changing coaches is your profile,” President Intel said.
He called this “strategy and guidelines outcome.”
“If you have a strategy in your ownership overview, you’re trying to find the right profile,” Marotta said.
“We needed a young coach who was fully embraced by the club’s guidelines, and we’re implementing a project that makes the most of youth team players.”
“Inter is a big club and we have an obligation to compete and win,” President Inter said. “To do this you need a lot of qualities.”
“In the case of Chiv, the qualities we felt. I can’t make that formula yet, because there is still a bureaucratic aspect he still has to deal with.”
“But we’ll complete it with him.”
Marotta argued that Christian Chibb was “the right profile for the goals I listed.”
“That’s not a confusion,” President Inter said of the club’s strategy. “But a form of courage unique to leaders.”
“The important thing is that there are strong clubs, strong leadership and well-defined projects,” Marotta concluded.
