Juventus captain Manuel Rocatelli revealed that Bianconori has “new energy” as the old lady prepares for the opening fixture of her new Serie A season with Parma on Sunday.
Speaking in an interview with Sky Sport in a quote via Tuttomercatoweb, Locatelli praised coach Igor Tudor.
“On Sunday, we’ll kick off,” the central midfielder said, “We’re very excited to start. We won’t be able to wait for the league to start and we’ll be in front of the fans.” Then, Locatelli confessed his thoughts on Juventus’ 2024-25 campaign. This was a disappointment overall despite Bianconeri, who has been competing in the Champions League.

Juventus captain Rocatelli on Tudor and Champions League qualifications
Despite mild speculation at the beginning of the year when Bianconeri searches for a new manager in the summer, the club chose to stick with Igor Tudor. The coach is given a new contract and is supported by the signatures of the top as the old lady is aiming to challenge Scudetto again.
When asked about Tudor, Locatelli said, “The coach is very fired. He’s definitely not the manager he’s had before. He wants a lot of strength, a lot of discipline, but I think most importantly he knows the DNA of this shirt.

Locatelli scored the winning goal last season from a penalty spot in Juventus’ 3-2 final day victory over Venezia. A victory was seen in the Champions League qualifying rounds with just one point over Biancono Lipip Roma. When asked about his decisive goal, the captain replied: “Of course, that ball is incredibly heavy, but I am the captain of this team and I have to take responsibility for these moments.
“It was a huge responsibility, but now we’re playing the whole season before us and having a season full of new goals. That penalty helped us qualify for the Champions League, but we’re very happy and proud of the work we’ve done together as a team.”
