Juventus continue their pursuit of Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson despite serious problems at Anfield, with the Brazilian understood to have already given his personal consent to a move to Turin, but turmoil within Liverpool has made it increasingly difficult to get a deal done.

According to Tuttosport, Alisson remains the clear first choice for Juventus as they look to solve one of their most obvious weaknesses for the 2025-26 season.

Manager Michele Di Gregorio has convinced club executives that a significant promotion between the posts is non-negotiable this summer after a season full of mistakes, frequently conceding goals from the first shot on target.

Slott’s departure opens the door for Juventus as they look for replacements for Martinez, De Gea and Nouvel

The complexity lies in Liverpool.

Former head coach Arne Slott had personally promised sporting director Richard Hughes to prevent Alisson’s departure, fearing further loss of dressing room leadership with the expected departures of Mohamed Salah, Andrew Robertson and Ibrahima Konate.

As a result, Slott reportedly rejected Allison’s own request to leave. However, Slott’s sudden departure from the club, although officially considered a mutual termination of his contract, was reported in the British press as an unexpected dismissal, and the situation changed completely.

The situation remains complicated, but Juventus hope that Liverpool’s ongoing rebuild will lead to a change in stance on Alisson. One possible scenario is that new manager Andoni Iraola promotes Georgian stopper Giorgi Mamadashvili to the number one role, and Alisson could leave.

If signing Alisson proves unfeasible, Juventus have identified several alternatives. David de Gea could leave Fiorentina for between €5 million and €10 million as the Viola look to cut costs, while Stuttgart’s Alexander Noubel is valued at around €15 million, with his return to Bayern Munich expected to lead to an immediate sale given Manuel Neuer’s continued presence.

But the most surprising name that has come up is Emiliano Martinez.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Juventus are interested in the Aston Villa and Argentina goalkeeper, whose Champions League and World Cup experience would provide him with the kind of leadership that Spalletti is looking for.

This operation is believed to be economically complex, but the club intends to review the feasibility with Villa in the coming days. Spalletti’s long-time target, Spurs shot-stopper Guglielmo Vicario, also remains in contention.
