Inter Milan coach Cristian Chivu has decided to start Markus Thuram, Francesco Acerbi and Petar Susic for tonight’s 2025/2026 Serie A Round 12 match against AC Milan.
Tonight’s match will kick off at San Siro at 20:45 local time (19:45 BST). Furthermore, Inter will end their underwhelming run of five games without a win against Milan.
However, Inter’s impressive run of four consecutive wins in all competitions could inspire confidence in the Kivu camp.
The visiting team, on the other hand, has drawn in three of their last four league matches and is feeling depressed ahead of this showdown.
Kivu have almost a full squad, with Marcus Thuram returning from a long absence.
Inter vs. AC Milan – Marcus Thuram joins Lautaro Martínez in attack
All eyes will be on Inter’s attack, in which Thuram teams up with Lautaro Martinez.
The 28-year-old French striker has returned to attacking form after recovering from a hamstring injury just before the international break.
Despite Francesco Pio Esposito’s excellent form during the break, Thuram will likely feature in the final third.
Thuram therefore partnered El Toro from the first whistle, even at the expense of Ange-Joan Bony.
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old Frenchman is aiming for his first goal in Serie A since mid-September, when he scored in the 4-3 defeat against Juventus.
Furthermore, Thuram’s return from injury should also ease further pressure on El Toro.
Inter vs. AC Milan – Petar Sučić replaces Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Elsewhere, Cristian Chivu has opted for continuity across the pitch, continuing to rely on the same structure that has brought him recent success.
Jan Sommer started behind the goal in a slightly modified back three. In fact, Francesco Acerbi is on the radar ahead of Jan Bisek and will be alongside Manuel Akanji and Alessandro Bastoni.
On the flanks, Carlos Augusto and Federico Dimarco provide width and support the attack.
With Denzel Dumfries injured, the Brazilian will act as a temporary right winger tonight.
In midfield, Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu form a balanced duo, tasked with setting the tempo and supporting two-way transitions.
However, Inter lost veteran midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan to injury a month ago.
The absence of 36-year-old Petar Sučić means he will return to the starting line-up for the first time since Inter’s 2-1 home win over Sassuolo.
As a result, Piotr Zielinski, who suffered a minor injury during the suspension, started on the bench again.
