Milan concluded a perfect season with City rival Inter with his third victory in five unbeaten meetings, earning his place with a 3-0 victory in the Coppa Italia Finals.

With the tough first half being contested, Luca Giovic defeated the deadlock and set a Rossonelli on the course. The Serb striker completed the brace after the break before Tijani Reyjunders added the second half to close the victory.

Soccer Italy was one of Sansilo’s certified media. This is a player’s rating.

Inter 0-3 Milan: Player ratings

Inter: Martinez 5.5; Bisseck 6.5, De Vrij 5, Bastoni 6; Darmian 5 (83’Correa), Barella 5 (53’Frattesi 5.5), Asllani 5 (53’Calhanoglu 5.5), Mkhitaryan 5, Dimarco 5 (53’Zalewski 5.5); Taremi 5.5 (53’Arnautovic 5.5), Lautaro Martinez 5.5

Best Inter Player: Bisseck 6.5 – Four days after the costly mistake that led to Inter’s defeat against Bologna, the German defender looks like another player. His full focus was clear from the start, winning a duel after a duel with Raphael Leo. But on his own, there is little he can do to stop him from falling apart under Milan’s pressure. Quite literally, the last guy in the second half, the scoreline may even have been even tougher without his efforts.

Lowest mutual ratings: Aslani and Dalmian 5 – Once again, the difference is clear when Albania International starts in place of Hakankarhanoguru. He struggles to determine the tempo of his team, hesitates on the ball, slows down overall plays and induces pressure from the opposition. Meanwhile, the Italians make only one mistake, but at a cost, as Jovic’s delayed pursuit allows Milan to take the lead on the first real chance of the match. Beyond that, his limited offensive contributions seem to hinder Nerazzuri whenever they have the opportunity to attack that side.

Intercoach: Simone Inzagi 5 – His sixth consecutive Derby Madnina victory streak was quickly erased by a five-match unwinning run against one of the most struggling aspects of Milan in recent memory. The fatigue Nerazzurri brings into the game can partially explain their flooding, but meek surrender combined with a lack of response to opponents who were not particularly sharp in the first half raises serious concern. With two more competitions still being played, Inter is now facing important stretches to avoid ending the season without silverware.

Milan: Maignan 6.5; Tomori 6.5, Gabbia 6.5 (59 ‘Thiaw 6), Pavlovic 7; Jimenez 6.5, Fofana 7, Reijnders 7 (88 ‘Joao Felix N/A), Theo Hernandez 6.5 (88 ‘Bartesaghi N/A); Pulisic 6 (78 ‘Loftus-Cheek 6), Jovic 7.5 (78 ‘Abraham 6), Leao 5.5

Best Milan Player: Jovic 7.5 – Not appealing to his team’s play before opening the score. It is his fatal instinct to ultimately lean the balance of Milan’s favor. After moving forward with Rossoneri, he adds an important second goal and grows to a true reference point in his link up play. This is proof that Milan already had two reliable strikers in-house without having to make it bigger during the winter transfer period.

Lowest Milan rating: Leao 5.5 – Incredibly, even one of his team’s best nights, he still feels like a piece of work missing in the perfect puzzle. Luckily for him, his teammates step up and make sure his overwhelming performance doesn’t leave a mark. Inter His assistance to Reijnders, where Inter is completely outrageous, isn’t enough to make up for his overall display.

Milan Coach: Sergio Concigio 7 – Amidst never-ending speculation about the expected departure at the end of the season, his focus is firmly on securing another trophy. Keeping the team functioning and staying fully focused on a tense environment like Milan is undoubtedly an astounding achievement.
