Roma has accused Nicolo Zaniolo on loan at Fiorentina in Galatasaray of punching two Gialorosi youth team players during the brawl tonight.
The incident is said to have occurred after Fiorentina defeated Roma at Viola Park Ground in the semi-finals of the Scudetto playoffs of the Primavera Youth League.
The club has issued a formal statement on its website regarding the situation.
“Roma announced that following today’s match there has been a disappointing incident involving player Nicolo Zaniolo.
“According to the initial reconstruction, the players are said to have entered the dressing room of the Primavera team after the match and engaged in provocative behavior against some of the young Jarorosi players.
“Rome cannot firmly condemn any form of positive behaviour or behavior that does not align with the values of sport.”
Zaniolo accused him of attacking two Roman teens

He was cheering at his current club from the stands.
According to Sportitalia, Zaniolo was not allowed to be in the dressing room, but he went in anyway and got caught up in an argument with a few Roma players.
The situation regressed and became physical, and Zaniolo was accused of punching two teenage Roman players.
Fiorentina then released its own official statement in the event version of Zaniolo.
“At the end of the match, I went to the locker room to celebrate the Fiorentina youth and then went through the Loma room to honour their season.
“But at some point they began to humiliate me, so at that stage I simply preferred to leave, to avoid the situation regressing.”
Zaniolo has a tense history with Rome

He was initially shot to fame in Rome before demanding a transfer in January 2023.
A sale was made to Galatasaray and subsequently failed loan experiences at Aston Villa, Atalanta and Fiorentina, but these clubs were not fully prepared to buy him.
This season, the 25-year-old has made 36 competitive appearances for Atalanta and Fiorentina, contributing to three goals and three assists.
After scoring a goal against Rome for Atalanta, he was booked to celebrate in an overtly provocative way.
