Week 4 of Serie A this season kicked off tonight, with some fascinating fixtures waiting for us this weekend.
As Lazio and Roma are fighting at the Stadio Olimpico, not only have the first Derby della Capitale of the season, but also have a Como Meet with European hopeful Fiorentina, Udinese hopes that the Milan side and Ivan Juric will return to his old club Torino and succeed along with the new club Atarianta.
Take a look at four things to keep an eye on this weekend.
Derby Della Capital’s High Staff Return

The Roman Derby is always a lively game for obvious reasons, but there’s something a little exciting about the rounds of the match.
Lazio joins the game from behind a poor start to the season. Following a weak performance against Como in the opening game, it was highlighted 4-0 at Verona in Limp. However, last weekend’s trip to Sassoro ended with a 1-0 loss as Bianco Celesti scored just three points from the first three games.
Maurizio Sari returned to the club in the summer and was quickly locked up by a transfer embargo that prevented Lazio from signing players, except for players who were obliged to buy from last season’s loan. So their victory over archrivals is a great opportunity for Lazio to get the season back on track and start building momentum.
For Roma, it is the first derby for new head coach Jean Piero Gasperini. Gialorossi made some interesting signatures in the summer and began the season well before last weekend’s surprise home defeat to Turin.
Roma opened the season with a 1-0 home victory over Bologna before winning a 1-0 away 1-0 at Pisa the following week. Gasperini’s side only admitted one goal, but only scored twice, so we met with Lazio’s side, who scored four points and recognized three.
Frillian’s Reapers knock on Alegri’s door

Udinese now ranks third in Serie A after an impressive start to the season. Head coach Costa Ranzic has done a great job in charge of the club, and his side is unbeaten after three games.
The season began with an inactive 1-1 draw at Verona’s home, before a stunning 2-1 victory at San Siro just before an international break. Last weekend, the Runjaic team overcame a tricky away tie with a 1-0 victory at the newly promoted Pisa.
After Udinese, it’s Milan. Milan welcomes Blue Ergie Stadium on Saturday nights. Rossonelli sat just below the opposition at the table, with one point being reduced after the unfortunate loss of the opening game to Cremonese followed consecutive victories with Lexe and Bologna.
Head coach Masimiliano is back in the summer and the club has added Luka Modric, Samuel Rich and Christopher Nukank to the team. Modric has an immediate effect on red and black, and soon silenced critics who suggested he was too old to be competitive.
However, a trip to Udin would be a difficult challenge for Allegri and his part. Udinese’s victory over rivals Inter should serve as a warning to Rossoneri that their opposition should not be underestimated.
Serie a Journeyman Juric returns to the old Club Torino. Can you see the appearance?

On Sunday afternoons, Atalanta travels with Turin. LADEA head coach Ivan Juric will face the club he previously managed. The Croats were at the helm of Turin for three years between 2021 and 2024, and although he had nothing special, he did a respectable job.
Fast forward to today, Juric was signed this summer as Atalanta’s head coach on behalf of Rome-bound Giampierogas Perini. Radea became the seventh Italian club coached by the Croats and remains unbeaten so far despite a disappointing draw with Pisa and Parma. Following last weekend’s 4-1 victory over Lecce, they lost 4-0 to PSG midweek.
Another story point is whether Ademola Lookman will appear in Atalanta after the forward returns to training with the team this week. The Nigerian has been trained separately since the summer transfer drama, seeing him approaching his move to Inter. However, Nerazzurri did not meet Atalanta’s demands, and the former Fulham man returned to Bergamo with a tail between his legs.
But now is the time for him to break down and show what he can do. Lookman is a key part of Atalanta’s success in recent seasons, and with the contract watch etched next summer, it’s his greatest benefit to give him everything he’s this season to everything he’s been doing.
Serie Europe’s hopes meet in Florence

In another big game on Sunday, CESC Fabregas’ Como travels to Florence to face Fiorentina.
Both teams dream of qualifying for European football this season, as Laiola is also preparing for their second consecutive conference league campaign. For Fabregas’ part, Europe is a dream and victory over Fiorentina.
Como has won one game and has lost one game so far this season, sitting in ninth place in Serie A. The Lake team was impressive in their opening game victory with Lazio, but they fought Bologna and admitted a draw with Genoa on Monday night.
Meanwhile, Fiorentina began a passionate life under Stefano Pioli. On their defense, two additional games were needed at the start of the season as Laiola defeated Polissa with two legs to qualify properly for the conference league. However, in Serie A, Laiola was tied 1-1 with Cagliari in the opening game. They then drew 0-0 in Turin and lost 3-1 to Napoli last weekend.
Pioli is still looking for his first league victory since returning to the club this summer. Star forward Moys Keene is also looking for the club’s first goal. Como’s visit could be an important turning point if Fiorentina can secure three points.
