Official: After taking part in a permanent deal from Dinamo Zagreb, Petar Sucic has been announced as a new interplayer.
Petar Sucic revealed that his compatriots Mateo Kovacic, Ivan Perisic and Marcelo Brozovic have advised them to join Inter.
Croatia International officially joined Nerazzurri just a few weeks ago, but completed medical care in February 2025 and signed a contract with the Serie A Giants.
Sucic opens about intertransfer

“Everything is going well. It’s a big life and career change, but I really wanted it. I’m at a really large club. I want to fully enjoy this experience as a footballer and as a person. Of course I want to win,” the Croatian midfielder told Gazzetta.
Sucic has already made his debut at the Club World Cup with Nerazzurri.
“I started out with private Italian lessons over the last few months. I haven’t spoken that yet, but even if sometimes Italians talk really quickly, I understand almost everything,” he said.
“Lautaro sent me a beautiful message as soon as I signed and provided help. He sent his help like a real captain. Others helped me too. Hakan (Karhanoglu) was amazing. Mukhitaryan acts as my official translator when needed. He speaks so many languages.
What about Inter’s new coach, Christian Chibb?
“He loves what he does and shows it. He is accurate in every training session and I’ve noticed another important quality. He speaks directly and says what he thinks in your face,” Sucic said.
Other Serie A clubs wanted Sucic

“He’s not pounding around the bushes. He’s straight to the point. He’s never had any specific requests from me before. I want to build chemistry with my teammates, understand how to play, how we trained and where we arrived. Basically everything.”
The 21-year-old confirmed that other Serie A clubs were interested in his services, but he only wanted to sign Nerazzuri.
“That’s true, but I wouldn’t say either,” he said.
“When my agent said Inter wanted me, I said, ‘I just want to go there.’ This is for all the Croatians wearing this shirt, they all said the same to me. Let’s say I just followed their advice. ”
From 2025-26, Sucic will have an incredible reunion with his fellow countryman Luka Modric as the experienced midfielder is set to sign a one-year contract with Inter city rival Milan.
“If he signs it, that’s amazing. It’s special to have a derby against Modrick,” the Intermidfielder said.
“We’ve played together for the national team. For our Croatians, he’s the greatest ever. Everyone wants to be like Luka. I can’t imagine what it would be like to play against him, but the Milan Derby and Sansilo are truly unique. It’s not a stadium, it’s a soccer home.”
Sucic signed a contract with Stadio Meazza until June 2030.
