Champions League-winning coach Arrigo Sacchi analyzes the 3-3 semi-final “football victory” and outlines how Inter beat Barcelona with his second foot.
This was a truly thrilling encounter last night. Nerazzuri put up Marcus Thorum’s back heel flick and Denzeldan Fleece’s acrobatic volley 2-0.
Shortly after Dumfries was hit again with a nod to the corner and was hit again, Raffinya’s scorcher bouncing off Jan Somer’s back as he hit the crossbar for a final 3-3 result.

“It was a great game and a football victory,” Sacchi told La Gazzetta Delo Sports.
The coach changed the tactical landscape in Milan in the late 1980s, winning the Champions League twice and taking Italy to the 1994 World Cup final.
“There was a surge in intrus on that lead, but Yamal was incredible and with Nerazzuri coming back a bit, Barcelona was able to climb.
“In the second half, Inter had a more aggressive attitude, trying to attack Barcelona and didn’t sit too deep. They obviously got stronger in the plays on the set. This must be a weapon exploited in Game 2.”
Inter was able to stop Barcelona’s momentum

Barcelona, with the exception of two, have won Champions League home fixtures this season, 2-2 in Atalanta and 3-3 in Inter.
“To be honest, I was expecting better from Barcelona, especially in the second half,” Sacchi said.
“Intel was limiting them, closing their spaces and suffering under pressure when needed. I would like to congratulate Simone Inzagi. He understood how to make Barcelona fight and proved he could play them on the conditions of the level.
“Barcelona had more ownership and opportunities, but Inter scored 2-0, then 3-2, 4-3 when they were allowed in the centimeters.
“Barcelona’s defense is really bad. They can’t leave these huge gaps at all after pushing,” Sacchi added.
“Even when fatigue was recently sacrificed, they proved how strong they were, but they have golden results with character and wisdom. Not everyone goes to Barcelona and ends up undefeated.
How Inter will destroy Barcelona in Sanshiro

Dumfries was named Mann’s Mann, while the other side of Ramin Yamal tortured Federico di Marco.
“Dunfries was often given so much freedom from his opponents, scoring two goals with Sam’s assist. I was really grateful to help the midfielder work cover the defense.
This result means everything will be decided at San Siro, and the winner will face PSG or Arsenal in the Champions League final.
“I think Inter can do that. It will help Lautaro Martinez and Di Marco fit perfectly, but I feel that football alone has everything we need to create a big problem for Barcelona in San Siro,” Sacchi said.
“They have to make the most of the space Barcelona leaves regularly, and Nerazzuri is clearly superior in the area, so they focus on set-play.
