Christian Chiv is aware of the Inter vs Fulminence weather warning, but hopes that the suspension will be decided before the game. “It can be a problem. I hope there’s a sense of responsibility.”
Tonight we will meet Fulminence from Intermeet Brazil at the 16th Club World Cup round.
The game will be held in Charlotte. There, there is a threat of thunderstorms, leading to the suspension of the game, as they played in the same venue in recent games between Chelsea and Benfica.
Chivu’s warnings for potential inter-vs fluminence suspensions
“We hope that a decision will be made before the game. We will know that reaching the stadium and knowing that the game may be postponed can be a problem,” Chivu said at a press conference via Inter’s official website.
“To play these games you need to have good preparation. You need to eat the right way and drink at the exact time. These things need to be faced with something like a 120-minute game.
“We are ready from the start to honor this tournament, and we are ready to celebrate what our team represents. We are ready from the first day and now we are off a few days,” says Chivu.
“The conditions here were cool, unlike the conditions on the West Coast. We’re ready. We want to do our best. We want to be the best version of ourselves.”
Interplayer vs Fluminence not available
Marcus Thurham will return to group training and will be available for matches, but Davide Frattesi is still injured and has already returned to Europe with Hakan Calhanoglu, Piotr Zielinski, Benjamin Pavard and Yann Bisseck.
“Marcus joined the team in training for the last two sessions. That was good. His thigh pain is gone, but we’ll see,” Chive said.
Regarding Frattesi, “When we left Milan, we took these situations into consideration. So there were some young people under the age of 20 who were there with us and they helped us raise the notch in our training,” Coach Inter said.
“The injury is part of the transaction and there are some issues at the end of the season and you have to check out. After that, other players managed to get back into the situation with Tram, Fratesi, Karhanoglu and others.
Former Milan star Tiago Silva, 40, is the captain of Fulminence.
“He had an incredible career. It’s one of the best careers in his role. I’ve always been grateful for him,” Chivu said.
“It’s physically difficult for everyone. Temperature can challenge your opponents and cause problems for any team. Brazilian teams have a great mentality. They’re raising the level of these competition. Four teams in 16 rounds are very good at their movements. Brazilian players make this sport very great.”
Inter qualifies as a group winner in the Club World Cup Round 16, scoring seven points after a 1-1 draw with Monterrey and a victory over the Urawa Reds and River Plate.
The winner of today’s match will meet Manchester City or Al Hilal in the quarter-finals.
