Ismael Bennacer wrote a lengthy farewell message to Milan supporters after his deadline transfer to the Olympics Marseille. “I never imagined that I had to write these words.”
The midfielder was pushing through the sudden exit of the mid-season window when he received suggestions from Marseille and especially coach Roberto des Erbi.
He wrote a statement about his social media channels and sent his feelings to the supporters he left behind in Sanshiro.
“Fans of Milan, I never imagined that I had to write these words, but from today new experiences await me. This club and this city are my career and my life I marked an important part of this, and I can only thank you for everything I have experienced here.
“For over five years, I’ve given it everything for this jersey, and I’ve worn it with pride and passion alongside my incredible teammates and with exceptional fan support. , I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the people I had the privilege to meet, including my teammates, staff, club employees, and all the people who made this adventure so special.
“More than anything, I would like to thank you for your passion, your unconditional and unique love for making Milan a separate club from all other clubs. Also, on all journalists and many social media fan pages I would like to send you a special thanks, and it was a passionate explanation of what life in the club is like every day, and it always supported me.
“Every moment I have experienced on the pitch, every emotion I have shared with you will always remain in my heart. Cancel these memories, no matter what bonds that connect me to this club, no matter what. It cannot be done.
“I didn’t like to talk about goodbye, especially when the bond was very strong. You never know what the future holds, but there’s one thing for sure: Me to Milan. The attachment remains the same.
“Forza Milan.”
Details of the Olympics’ move to Marseille were loans worth 1 million euros, along with an option to buy for an additional 12 million euros and a choice to buy up to 3 million euros with various performance-related bonuses.
The 27-year-old Algeria International has been appearing in Milan books since 2019 after travelling 17.2 million euros from Emporio, where he began his Serie A career.
Bennacer continued his competitive appearance for Rossoneri by 178, where he scored eight goals and contributed 12 assists.
He won the Scudetto and Super Coppa Italia, but during his stay in Milan he helped Algeria win the Africa Cup of Nations in 2019.
