Axel DiSasi is the third Chelsea defender to be linked with a move to Serie A this summer, but Juventus are still considering their options up front, having struggled to reach an agreement with PSG for Randal Kolo Muani, with Reus Openda and Arkadiusz Milik currently the only options in attack.
Most of Serie A’s top clubs are actively recruiting reinforcements for the 2026-27 season, and the summer transfer market is heating up.
Roma are expected to miss out on signing Crisencio Somerville from West Ham, despite being confident of signing him just 24 hours ago. Indeed, Inzaghi’s Al Hilal have offered the Dutch winger the equivalent of around 80 million euros including add-ons, plus another 15 million euros per season.
West Ham have so far accepted an offer worth around 50 million euros from Roma, and Somerville will now decide which club he will join. The Giallorossi are reportedly offering him €4 million a season and are trying to persuade him through his compatriot Donyell Malen and manager Gian Piero Gasperini.
According to Sky, potential replacements for the Giallorossi are Andreas Schjelderup, Antonio Nusa and Diego Moreira.
Roma could offer Somerville the lure of Champions League football for the 2025-26 season and an exciting sporting project, but they are still expected to choose Al Hilal’s financially superior offer.
According to FootMercato, Roma have another target in the Premier League, and that is Chelsea’s Axel Disasi. The Serie A side are said to be in contact with the player’s camp, with Chelsea reportedly demanding €20 million.
Disasi becomes the second Chelsea defender to be linked with a move to Serie A in recent weeks. According to Gazzetta, Napoli made inquiries about Benoit Badiashile last week, while Como remain interested in Trevo Charover, who carries a price tag of 35 million euros. Como have already had two bids rejected by Chelsea.
Elsewhere in Serie A, Inter are genuinely interested in Tottenham centre-back Romero, while interest in Chalobá appears to have cooled.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Nerazzurri have been given the green light by manager Romero to proceed with negotiations with Tottenham, but Tottenham are demanding 50 million euros.
The Nerazzurri are also reluctant, at least for now, to continue negotiations with Tottenham for Jed Spence, with Spurs demanding a transfer fee of more than €40 million for the former Genoa player.
Juventus fail in agreement to sign Kolo Muani
This is the same request that PSG made to Juventus for Randall Kolo Muani, who reached an agreement with the Bianconeri a few weeks ago and is still awaiting a handshake between the two clubs, but it is unlikely that Juventus will meet the French club’s request.
The Bianconeri are awaiting offers for Jonathan David and Reus Openda and hope to sign two centre-forwards this summer. According to Gazzetta, the latter has attracted interest from Monaco, Rennes and Coventry City, but the Bianconeri manager will have to keep him for now as he and Milik are the only attacking options at the moment, with David following his post-World Cup break and Geoff Hector’s injury.
According to Calciomercato.com, Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta is once again being considered by the Bianconeri.
John Lucumi remains one of Juventus’ defensive targets and Bologna manager Claudio Fenucci has confirmed that the club have given assurances that Bologna will allow him to be released during the summer transfer window if they receive a suitable offer.
